Just another (VERY) insulting offer to Ottawa
1) MacKinnon : 28 y/o, 12.6 AAV x 8 years (brings him to 36 y/o), 1.56 PPG in his 27 y/o season (0.72 PPG in his 20 y/o season)
Stutzle : 21 y/o, 8.35 AAV x 8 years (brings him to 30 y/o), 1.15 PPG in his 20 y/o season
Why would a MacKinnon-Stutzle swap be beneficial for Ottawa? Almost 4.0 more (50% more) should be 50% more in production? Even if Stutzle tops out as what he did in his 20 y/o season, MacKinnon would need to score a LOT of pts for this to be worth it, and even then, you just got 7 years older.
2) Toews : soon 30 y/o, 7.25 AAV x 7 years after this season (brings him to 37 y/o), 0.63 PPG in his 27 y/o season
Chychrun : 25 y/o, 4.6 AAV x 2 years (very high chance he extends in Ottawa as he wants to be here), 0.69 PPG in his 24 y/o season
Again, why would a Toews-Chychrun swap be beneficial for Ottawa? You get better short term but what happens down the road?
Even IF you would think that this above is good move for Ottawa... Georgiev + Girard would bring back Sanderson + Tkachuk + Norris + 2 first round picks + Brannstrom?
Look, I would not even do Stutzle + Sanderson for that package.
