Different narrative: KJ just switched to the same agent as Fantilli and a guy he's familiar with through playing with his son in Michigan.

Canucks aren’t trading Brzustewicz with how good he’s looking, and I’m not sure if I’d give a 1st for Tanev with his struggles so far this year. Potentially at the deadline

Cost is to high for Vancouver. Would rather pay the 1st and BRZUSTEWICZ for Hanifin than for the Tanev package, assuming there could be an extension worked out with the player. Tanev may be a piece they look at adding in the offseason, but he's not the main piece coming back if they are trading high end young assets. If Vancouver trades young pieces it will have to be for a reasonably young player with contract certainty.

Jackson LaCombe actually looks good enough to eventually be a top-4 defenseman. We need him more than we need another goalie.

way to much for vaqncouver to give up, even though i think tanev would be a perfect add. i think there are cheaper defensive dmen on the market rather than giving up Brzustewicz

Ducks aren’t trading Lacombe with how good he’s looking playing 20 minutes per game on the top pair with Fowler.

They didn't need or want Vladar all summer long and that is only more true now as we see Dostal grab more and more starts. NHL rookie of the month for a reason.

It's difficult to argue that Vladar is worth his contract at the moment. It appears he is an incredibly overpaid backup goalie, so why would we bring him in?

Gibson is a great mentor for Dostal, and they're doing a fine job sharing the net. With how improved Anaheim is playing, why would Gibson want out at this point, and why would we want to trade him?
