Why would Boston trade their starting goal tender? They MIGHT trade Swayman but theyre doing just fine with Zacha/Poitras/Coyle down the middle.

I think CBJ would be perfect for Hertl.

come playoffs you need a legit C and Hertl and Pasta would be fun!! And Swayman if your future so trading him is crazy to me.

Just ideas honestly.

Johnson and Boqvist for Hertl, and a cap dump of some kind! I’m down

They can move Zacha back to wing and roll with Sway.

Yeah not a bad idea, Laine as 1C, Hertl as 2C, Fantilli as 3C and move jenner to wing. I assume sharks would want someone like Kent Johnson?

Sway is the better goalie, but I do like Ullmark.
This sets Boston up better for the future IMO and Bussi should be in the NHL backing up Swayman anyways.

Him and Boqvist! Maybe Peeka but a young C and young RD would be ideal

SJS needs to sell anything anyone will return an asset, think some of these are bit optimistic but get what you can. then start taking bad short contracts to get more picks.

I can't see a world where the Capitals opt into a worse version of the Backstrom contract after just getting out from Backstrom's deal.

Couture with retention is a very good option! Guy is still a quality 2 C. I have no desire to move him but I want him to have a better chance at the cup.

This is actually a good trade for BOS. Yes Ullmark is the starter, but they are way more likely to trade Ullmark than Swayman. They won't be able to afford both in the near future, and the front office sees Swayman as the best U25 goalie in the league, so might as well take advantage of Ullmark's trade value.

The real question is is the return from Edmonton from Ullmark plus Grzelcyk enough for Hertl. I think hertl is a very good fit in Boston. My guess is they’d move Zacha back to the wing and move Poitras inside Zacha/Pastrnak and then they’d play Hertl with Marchand / DeBrusk.

My assumption is you can get their first and cap filler for Ullmark. You could be creative depending on your willingness to take Campbell at 100 percent or 50% … or even retain on Ullmark. Basically weaponize cap space for more space.

The value is probably fine, but Caps shouldn't add any more 30+ players. Better to spend the money and assets elsewhere.
