hertl is best on SJS but he is on 7x 8.13m and is 30yo. thats a challenge to move. take the picks and prospects or bad contracts (a 27yo debrusk isnt in the plans for a rebuild)

couture is 34yo w 4x 8m left and injured now - dont see that much return for him either, like hertl take picks/prospects/bad contracts and start a long rebuild

as a AZ fan it was/is painful going thru total teardown and every player you get less assets than you want, where AZ got good assets was taking bad contracts. Teams w cap issues need space more than need another player.
