Every great goal scorer had a setup man. Marner is one of the best playmakers in the league and is part of the reason Matthews has so much success. The NMC in the top right corner means he can't be traded unless he wants to. Why would he want to go to a team that's falling a part ? Marner won't be leaving Toronto unless it's near the end of his career and has a shot at a cup.

Remove Chychrun and Ottawa still wouldn't do it

Do people even consult contract situations before making these proposals?
