I'm not saying it's an easy path forward, but even if EDM WON the lottery...It's not likely the Macklin/Eiserman are changing this team. You have to think that Drai/McDavid are watching closely. If EDM doesn't make any moves at all...what message does that tell them?

Make it a 24 1st and a 27 1st. Edmonton will continue to be a dumpster fire even with Mrazek so the 24 1st will be top 10. Then Edmonton will be an even bigger dumpster fire in 27 after Drai and McDavid walk away.

tbh im trolling. hes gonna make moves, maybe trading their first while in 31st will be the kick in the ass they need

I really do think it's a team mental thing. Almost like something happened in the locker room. Player slept with another player's girlfriend type situation. They're just so mentally weak right now. Came out against VAN absolutely FLYING. But adversity hit and the whole team just gave up it looked like.

McDavid made the slightest hint at leaving in free agency and everyone with a contract longer than 2 years is shook. Something ridiculous like that

It could honestly work too. If drai and mcd leave there's no way holland still has a job so what does he care about a 27 1st rounder.

you're right, but the issue comes when you have a coach or GM or both that feels they're on the hot seat and makes the move anyways. On top of Mcdavid and Drai contracts coming due sooner than later

They shouldn't be a lottery team and that is the point. If you fail to make the playoffs, heads will roll so my guess is they make some big moves.
