Monahan isnt going to get dealt unless its a very attractive piece for mtl. Hes been one of the habs top players and would be shocked if they are strongly considering resigning him if the length/cap hit can fit.

Monahan wont be resigned by the Jets anyways, MTL can get their 2nd back plus another solid bottom 6 player(who has a bother in MTL) for releasing Monahan for 3 months

in theory, but theres always risk in that strategy, if hes willing to embrace the rest of the rebuild wouldnt be worth moving him to move down 20 -25 spots in the 2nd round and land a bottom line forward who they dont really need.

Hopefully the jets are smart enough to steer clear of that deal.

Montreal doesn't need another solid bottom 6 player and certainly aren't going to move Monahan to move up in the 2nd round. Come on.
