This doesn't really mean a whole lot, nor is that a viable source. Tomasino was looking great under Hynes, but has struggled to adapt to Brunette's system. It happens.

If NSH were to trade Tomasino, it would either be as part of a package for a big piece, or for in a change of scenery deal, for another young player who hasn't taken off yet. A cap dump UFA or a mid round pick is way off the mark.

On VAN, I think Höglander seems the most likely candidate. A player the same age as Tomasino, who hasn't met expectations yet. The Canucks would have to add a piece though, given NSH would be giving up a guy who still on his ELC, and is waivers exempt.
