Mrazek has been great for the hawks, and the perfect stop gap till Comesso and Gajan are ready

True but I feel like you could use some of that cap space to maybe get a better stop gap or a better tandem in the meantime.

Nylander likely isn’t signing in Chicago and he’s not the guy you want playing with Bedard. They’re both snipers and want to shoot the puck whenever possible. You want a good playmaker to get Bedard the puck

I wouldnt call going from 3rd to 1st twice in a row "leapfrogging a bunch of teams" , not nearly as bad as NYR going from 6 to 2 and 12 to 1 in back to back years.

They actually allow people into the "circle of trust" or whatever they call it to analyze and inspect the instruments and process for the lottery. Last year they allowed some beat writers that I trust to be impartial, and they seemed to agree that it would be nearly impossible for them to rig the process. Even still, I think I would lean toward the same conclusion, but as a CHI fan i'll just take it an keep my mouth shut. lol. "Nearly impossible" isn't the same as "impossible".

Yeah i mean after what we've seen in the NBA and NFL in recent years, I wouldnt blame anyone for calling sports leagues rigged for viewership. But they do have an actual private law firm doing the draft lottery, and if it DID happen to be rigged and that **** came out, that law firm is toast. So I can't see them knowingly going along with it
