Description
I feel like all-time debates aren't done enough in the hockey community so why not start it up!

Neither are in this list yet but I expect Mdavid to end his career around 5-7 all time and Makar around 8-10

The whole point of this is for debate so feel free to express opinions

Jaromir Jagr should definitely be in the top three. He just might be the GOAT.
If he hadn't taken time off to play three seasons in the KHL he likely would have passed Gretzky for all time NHL goals leader. He is second in all time points and no-one on this list will catch him. By the way Mario Lemieux was unsportsmanlike crybaby.
I watched Lemieux's last game in Vancouver, the first time he retired, and Jagr was the best player on the ice. It wasn't even close.

Jagr has played 2160 games of professional hockey during 39 seasons since 1984. He has 2329 regular season points, 944 goals and 1385 assists. He has 102 playoff goals and 157 playoff assists over those same 39 seasons.

Messier, Doug Harvey, some Russians like kharlamov, tretiak, boris michaelov, Slava fetisov, and the klm line. I never saw Harvey play, but he was supposed to be incredible. Messier is messier. I grew up thinking the Russians were the big bad, but guys like tretiak, fetisov, and the klm line were incredible to watch.

You rightly put Crosby top-5...so will let it slide.

[and for next time....it's spelled B-R-O-D-E-U-R]

I just thought not to include goalies, the difference between what makes a skater great and what makes a goalie great is so wildly different it wouldn't be fair

I'm gonna put the greatest goal scorer ever top-10 no matter what, he's consistently been elite goal scoring in the hardest era to score goals in (up until recently). Crosby is the best all-around player ever, he's had times where he was the best offensive player, defensive player and two-way player in the league. He also missed a ton of his career due to injuries and still been elite.

Never got a chance to watch Yzerman but his biggest achievements of being an offensive dynamo and winning cups, he's not better at those things than anyone in the top 7. There's case for him being 8-10 but not top 7
