Right now, Peterka alone might be worth more than Hanifin. Even if he isn’t, buffalo is not making that trade. They can’t afford to add another super expensive defenseman.

That's an easy no for Boston

Mercer is untouchable. He wasn’t moved for Meier; he certainly won’t be moved for pending UFA Chris Tanev

pretty sure you can only retain on a certain number of players which I suspect you have surpassed here. Boston says to that deal, they won't move Carlo and may not be as interested in Lindholm at the moment with Coyle and Zacha playing well.

Devils accept with two small changes…

1. Change Vladar to Wolf
2. Change Mercer to Bastian

A) you've retained on 6 players which the max is 3, B) NJ, Vancouver, Buffalo, Colorado all easily decline, Arizona probably declines just because they'd rather keep Moser and Boston declines because they want to keep Carlo and Frederic

Take out Carlo from Boston and everything but Elias from Calgary. Probably.

Boston does not trade Carlo for Elias 1 for 1. 🙄

@calgaryman
ABSOLUTELY NOT from Buffalo

The time when Hanifin to Buffalo *MIGHT* have happened is long past
Not gonna bring in another big defenseman contract now that we gave Power his huge extension
Maybe if he’d gotten a bridge deal, but like i said, that time has passed

Hanifin to Buffalo is no longer a realistic option
And we aren’t trading Peterka for him either
ZERO CHANCE
