At this point there's no selling jjp. Only using him in a package to buy a player and even that has a slim chance of happening.

Before posting a trade proposal, ask yourself: "if I had a 21-year old two-way forward producing the way JJP is producing, would I consider this?". I get you're looking for external input on what his value is, but you should at least have the decency to ask that question of yourself first. Otherwise, you'll come across as disingenuous and be less likely to get the constructive input you claim to seek.

Teams generally don't trade players like Peterka.

If you want him, you'll need to overpay.

I'm sure the idea is to get a good young German player to play with stutzle, but the cost would be a lot more than 2 second round picks, I've seen redrafts where peterka is going in the teens, it would hurt a lot more than that. The Sabres are not a perfectly constructed team, I don't want to assume anything with the way this team has been run, but there is a chance that some of our talented young forwards could be made available for- a two way center, any actual hockey players that play physical, a top 4 right shot d, or an above average veteran goalie. It's just hard to say, I assume the coach swings first, then the gm, and finally you move out players to remake (not rebuild) the roster.

This is the first time I see this poster, he has 19 posts so he could legitimately have little idea of the player's value, not everyone is a die hard hockey fan, maybe he follows 2-3 other sports before hockey

We have received wayyyy worse offers than that for Shane Pinto and even got asked for Ridly Greig to take on that ALBATROSS Mathieu Joseph's contract.... and that was from posters who have been here for a while and have a lot of posts...

So I think OP deserves a pass here

I'm not saying what I did with contempt or anger; I'm merely suggesting a different approach to how he goes about posting trade proposals. If, as his question suggests, he's someone operating in good faith and was just curious, I imagine he'll be open to the feedback. I'll grant you that I perhaps could've phrased it a bit more politely, though.

What about JJ Peterka and Lukas Rousek for Shane Pinto, Zack MacEwen and Lassi Thomson?

No it was fine but it's just the 19 posts for me... maybe little experience so I think he was operating in good faith. Your point would have worked better on a regular poster

I really thought they were going to draft him in the second round, instead they drafted Jarventie right before. Hindsight is always 20-20.

Yeah, I didn't think he would be. Almost like JJ, you would probably have to add something you didn't want to.
