What benefit does Abruzzese bring to Calgary? He's closer to a Group 6 UFA than he is an NHL player.

IDK i heard they liked Abruzzese he played nhl games for leafs two years ago he was pretty solid but could definitely add another player if thats who they want

No you heard he played with Coronato at Harvard. That doesn't mean Calgary values him

Faber is an interesting piece but not worth the cost to obtain him even if they did accept this this guts us of the few prospects we do have

I'm not saying Toronto should accept that trade. I'm saying Faber is probably as untouchable as Luke Hughes

Minny isn't trading Faber and Foligno extended for 4 more years after this one. That is a contract I have zero interest in touching. So the Leafs decline and Minny declines.

Calgary passes very quickly. I believe Tanev will fetch a 1st + 3rd or 1st + prospect at 50% retention. Abruzzese holds minimal value. 2 x 3rds and a 5th is short in value by quite a bit.

Minten and Cowan are the only prospects l wouldn't move. Niemla is another undersized d-man the leafs don't need.

I agree he’s expendable but not sure the leafs agree or he woulda been included in the trade offer to Calgary
