If you're trading for Raddysh it should be if you're considering him for a top 6 opportunity and hoping you can replicate and improve last year's goal total.

If it's just to get those 2 as 4th liners, it's not worth what you're giving up

Chicago isnt taking that package.

A prospect and a pick might get you one of them but not both. Hawks have a handful of young d men, they are looking for forwards.

I would do it just to get rid of that Blackhole Johnson, highly doubt Pegula would with Retention.

I like Lily, and I think he still has plenty of room to become even better. But, I don't think CHI would do this. They would be more interested in futures.

Sabres are loaded with high end undersized center prospects, holmberg is the last thing we need. And as somebody else mentioned, the Sabres owner wants a leaner operation, which means the Sabres aren't paying (retaining) to move a player out for loose change.

Holmberg has some upside as a defensive forward though
And i think he’s only 24

Change the 4th & 5th to a 3rd and maybe?

Asplund also had some upside as defensive forward. Sabres need established defensive forwards in bottom 6, not another prospect running around Okposo

Erik Johnson isn’t gonna get us an “established defensive forward” though…. is he?

Also, why can’t we do both moves???
Get the young player with defensive upside,
AND go after the Vet u want

E.Johnson isn’t gonna be here long term
I’m ok shopping him for the best return

Move E. Johnson, sure whatever. But retaining half the money for that return is just bad trade. Players will be stuck in Rochester, and picks will be another dart throws.

AND we get :

SCOUTING REPORT
The Swedish forward plays a smart game and knows how to make his teammates better on the ice. He is responsible defensively and has a fine work ethic. His offensive numbers in the SHL indicate he might be able to provide some secondary offense at the NHL level (though that is far from a guarantee), while helping to keep opponents off the scoreboard.

Long Range Potential: Solid defensive forward.
