You are not getting first from Sabres, who are going to miss playoffs, once again. Maybe if it lottery protected, but thats would mean, Flames are not getting it in 2024

The way that we are playing now, if adams trades anything of value for a rental, it should be a fireable offense.

Then the Flames won't be interested in dealing with Buffalo... there will be other suiters who will include a first, especially with Lindholms low cap hit this year.

Honestly it's more about the future than just this year, I think for a 1st to be involved there has to be an extension in place. Maybe at the TDL a contender will include a 1st bc it will be a low 1st but the Sabres will be drafting mid pack to top 10 again at this point and Adams wouldn't do that.
