You can't have Mikey Anderson under any circumstances. That contract is one of the best in hockey.

You all won't be getting Swayman, but pairing Ullmark for the rest of this year and next with PK might be viable for a reasonable return. He was a good mentor for Swayman and they are great partners now. The Bruins don't really need a goalie back, but they are strapped for cap space. If you need to send Raanta out then you could retain enough so that his cap hit could be fully buried, and I think there could be something there.

That's not how salary retention works. Since Raanta's contract is above the maximum amount that you can bury in the AHL, if Carolina retains salary on his contract, they'd be entitled to that percentage of the cap relief from burying him in the AHL.

So if Carolina retains 1/3 of his contract ($500k) and Raanta is buried, Boston would eat 2/3 of his buried penalty ($233k) and Carolina would be on the hook the other 1/3 ($117k).

Swayman isn't happening

Caps have Carlson, Jensen, and Van Riemsdyk on the right side. Deangelo wouldn't get meaningful power play time making him pretty much useless for DC. They'd decline here.
