Description
As a die hard leaf fan, as much as I want help on Defense this year, I know teams are just never going to hand the Leafs anything, because once they do, the Leafs are Legit contenders every year. So I'd stand pat, save our Assets and work from Free Agency. I also don't think Willy is worth 10 million....Ridiculous, the guy hasn't won any awards and always plays against teams Second best defense. Noah Hannafin WILL BE signing in Boston, so there's that as well.
I should also add that until JT comes off the books the cap is STILL CRAZY TIGHT.

    Also too little for Willy way to little for Lily and a little too little for Robertson and leafs also decline to put Minten and Cowan on the 4th line obviously jarnkrok would go down there make that a sick shut down line

    It can be any team really, Also he can be buried in the AHL and only cost a team 200000 for 2 years which is nothing, It'd be easier to keep him. I'm sure the Leafs could find a way to just bury him in the AHL for one more year until JT off the books, so that trade doesn't really matter.

    Well thats what they'd have to sign for if they wanted to STAY leafs. I worked on it for an hour, and there is no way to improve the team without them taking some cuts.

    I think people are delusional about what Willy should make. If its anything over what I signed him for, let him walk.

    I would argue he’s worth 10 all day long and they can still build a good team around him at 10

    Well I'd go as high as 9.75 then down to a 21 man roster.

    The guy's 36 and should be in the AHL at this point. Sure he doesn't cost much but as a leaf fan you should already know that teams aren't helping out the leafs for free.

    I agree with your opinion 100%. I don't like the Pesce signing he doesn't bring the physical need. Dillion isn't worth that much or term. Once JT's contract is up there are some big UFA d-men hopefully still unsigned by their current teams and the leafs can actually sign. Ekblad, Chychrun, Gavrikov, Provorov, Pionk, Lindell, Theadore and Larsson are all ufa's and getting 2 of these guys would be huge.

    Can’t put Minten and Cowan on the 4th line. They are potential to 6 forwards and won’t develop playing limited minutes and with pure grinders. I’d say keep one and out the other in a trade for a defenceman. They both play better as C, where we have lots of depth, especially if Domi keeps playing the way he is
