Luke Hughes covers the Devils defensively and will be paid soon. There is no way that is a rental price, and the Devils wouldn't extend Hanifan. Siegenthaler is there long term defensively, and Bahl is fine for 3rd line

Jets are very thin on RHD. No way they include Salomonsson.

Personally I do not see Hanifin as 6.5m dollar defender, looks like a contract primed to age the same way as Parayko's contract for example.
Seriously hoping that Fitzy would steer far clear of Hanifin in free agency if that's the level he's valued at around the league.

And then you pay Luke and Holtz what money the following year? The fact this pushes NJD to 22 players and 200k in spare room. No thank you.

Yup, that's what I am totally saying...

Just accept adding a $6.5m D to a 3rd line is not a good plan.

It's not like I said it's Bahl or nothing. It's that he fits a cap for this team to not lose anybody valuable because we would be in cap hell.

No from Winnipeg. They aren't giving up their best RHD prospect a 1st, a 2nd and a roster player for a rental.
