st-louis would probably rather remove chabot and dvorsky for a trade. could add some stuff but they'll value their prospect much more than picks.

Asking price on Brady should be something like what Calgary got for Matthew (Huberdeau + Weegar + a 1st).

Asking price on Chabot should be a 1st and two 2nds.

When you add everything together, you get something like this:

Kyrou
Parayko
Two firsts
Two seconds

I'd say you're off by a fair bit.

Brady ain’t no Matthew. Not even close. The league’s most overrated player.

There's no other player in the league that plays like Brady.

If the asking price isn't met, he doesn't get traded.

It's that simple.

Me personally, I’m never meeting the asking price for Brady.

Why am i seeing so many Brady Tkachuk proposals all over the place, there was one on HFB too. Is there a report the sens are willing to move him or is it just general Sens fan frustration?

Frustration for sure. Also frustration from Brady himself

Kyrou for BT might be a fair trade. But in effect two first for Chabot is too steep for Blues. They keep the picks are spend 8m elsewhere.

I get the Sens wanted/needed to take a leap this year that just hasn't happened, but trading BT would still be a touch too drastic. Not many guys like him in the league, Sens just need to get him to the playoffs and I think he'll dominate.

The asking price might be reasonable but that doesn't mean it inherently makes sense for the Blues. The Blues are barely more competitive than the Sens are right now, in a worse conference, so what exactly is Chabot and Tkachuk doing for them for the next couple of years?

If the Blues are trading for those players that would mean they're going for it which means it doesn't make sense to give up Kyrou. If they're giving up Kyrou and Parayko, they're getting players back who better, but not the kind of players that is going to take a mediocre team into being a good one again (as you should well know having watched them try and fail to do that for the Sens for like three straight years now), which means they're going to need those picks to actually supplement the foundation (which is exactly the situation they're in right now).

This is a hockey trade that only makes sense for Ottawa, which makes sense because it was made by an Ottawa fan.

The fit just isn't there right now for where these teams are in their life cycles.

I honestly don't understand the flurry of AGMs recently that involve tearing Ottawa apart.

Tkachuk and Chabot are not going to be traded, let alone traded together.

We've played just 1 game under the current Head Coach.

It's worlds off, because I'd almost guarantee the Blues do not want Chabot.

He’d be the perfect partner to Parayko tbh

Uhhh what???? Nah. Nothing J-Bo-like about him and he's way too expensive (did you not notice that the Blues cannot come anywhere remotely near affording this trade?). The last thing Parayko needs is yet another "puck moving" (read: bad defensively) partner. Parayko should be the main puck mover on his pairing. He needs a partner who skates well, defends very well, plays the puck safely and gets rough in the slot. Gavrikov would be the perfect partner for Parayko. Or Lindgren.

Meanwhile, hasn't Chabot been out weeks with an injury that was expected to be healed by now? Hardest of passes, thanks.

On that we agree. It would be foolish of Ottawa to trade either of these guys right now (let alone for a 30 year old defenseman signed for 6 more years).
