From a Montreal prospective I think they would value a prospect over a pick. BRENNAN OTHMANN might be the first guy I ask for Might require adding a young depth defenceman which we do have. I understand if I am asking for too much but this is mostly just the perspective of wanting prospects to be the focal point of the trade and not picks they have enough picks and want to accelerate their rebuild if possible.

He's been as good as you could expect him to be on a basement team. Puts in a shift most nights, on pace for 20 goals, has probably played all 12 forward position at some point this season. He left the game with an injury last night in dallas but I'd assume he'll be back before the TDL. Maybe you could get him for a 4th+prospect without retention but if NYR wants him cheaper so they can add another player I dont think CHI burns a retention slot for less than a 3rd.

Decent list. Expect to have to overpay. Agree with others, Pinto is not available. Think Monahan is your best bet, but like Henrique also for a short gig. Lindholm trade will be very pricey in terms of assets you need to give up given the expected level competition for his services (Boston, CBJ etc).

Agree with you there. They learned the hard way last year going after overpriced guys. Value deadline they had with Vatrano was much more effective and hope that’s the route they go
