I guess when you miss the playoffs year after year, fleecing the leafs on a fantasy site is kind of like your playoffs 👏

They wouldn’t accept but I don’t think it’s that far off.

The last time the habs and leaf made a trade, the leafs paid 2 second for a washed Plekanek. It really shows that acquiring players from your rival cost a lot more than the actual value of the players

We can't all get lucky to draft a generationnal player when it's our turn to draft 1st OVR. You were in our shoes 10 years ago. It's a cycle...

AND YET, we've won more rounds than you in the last 5 years. cool

Not far off? It's very far off. A 3C who's been injured for years, a bottom pairing Savard who sucks and a backup Allen being paid way too much.

No thanks. Teams don't value interdivisional trades as much as people on this site seem to think. If two teams are going in separate directions it doesn't matter as much.

An interdivisional trade doesn't mean we're going to drastically overpay for Montreals scraps just because it happened one time.

And I’m sure if I posted drivel like this you’d have made similar comments. Yet you won bupkis in the end and have missed the playoffs every year since (looking likely this year).
Yes, Matthews (& Marner + Nylander don’t forget 😎) are elite talents. Slafkovsky is a … work in progress

It’s the price for Toronto. Everywhere else it’s a first for Monahan, a second and a prospect for Savard and a seventh for Allen

Throwing stones in a glass house. Neither team has won a cup in the cap era.

I'd still take being a perennial contender over constantly drafting busts in a crappy rebuild

As the title suggests - it's mostly an answer to all the terrible Leaf AGM proposing AHLer for roster players.

Nobody is paying you that much for any of those guys. Cut the bias and be objective. Savard sucks and Monahan won't net the return you think.

Savard would be the third best D on Toronto
Monahan will get a first like Copp and Barbashev

Oh most def ahaha - it's all fun.

It's banter between rivals - the AGM is clearly meant to create that reaction. cheers

We will reserve judgment on Slaf for now - but I don't think he'll be a PPG - but if he becomes a Landeskog (two-way forechecking forward that gets 60 pts per year), I won't be mad.

Savard would be a 6/7D on any contender. Dude's analytics have been in the drain the past 3 seasons any time he plays against top competition. He just gets caved in, is 33 and can barely skate anymore.

Monahan is a fine middle 6C but has had MAJOR injury concerns and one short stint this season where he's been decent doesn't somehow qualify him worth a first lmao.

Power of the Leafs on display 💪. But it will give you some joy to know that we Leaf fans - while not spending too much time on it - do appreciate how utterly *$&! The Habs are right now 😅

Can’t see the Leafs & Habs as trading partners and maybe you’re just exaggerating because it is Leafs & Habs, but Savard is not (or at least should not be) on any competitive team’s wish list this TDL. He is really not good and has another year
