Can't see the Jets doing this one. Chibrikov has also been lights out in the NHL, great looking prospect for WPG.

I'd like to see a replacement level player with half the offensive production, defensive responsibility, and leadership qualities that Dicky and Fliggy have.

Good luck finding room in the top-6 or even the top-9 for Chibrikov once Lambert, Barlow, Lucius, and McGroarty are getting regular minutes along with Connor, Scheifele, Ehlers, Perfetti, Valardi, Niederreiter, and Iafallo.

Okay, bottom sixers if it makes you happy. Anyways they aren't pulling a top prospect from anyone and the Jets don't need bottom sixers at that price.

Any contending team in the NHL would love to have those two in their bottom 6 going into the playoffs. Plus, this proposal is asking for max retention on both players. Chib's is interesting, but I don't think he is as valuable as you seem to think. Then again, all I have seen of him this year was against the Icehogs. So, I'm not an expert on him.

Sure, bottom 6 depth is helpful, but at a reasonable cost. Asking for the top performing prospect on the Moose isn't reasonable.

If they can't be had for a 3rd or 4th, oh well, they're not difference makers anyways and would have to fight hard for 4th line time.

You need start paying more attention to the NHL outside of your bubble in Winnipeg.

Both of them would easily beat out guys on WPG's 3rd and 4th lines for roster spots and could even float further up the lineup as needed. But.. ok, if you say so. I doubt CHI even trades either of them. Sounds like they are planning on extending them, anyway.

The Jets 3rd line is fantastic, they don't come close to replacing anyone there, obviously they aren't top sixers, so the 4th line is the only place for them.

Hopefully Chicago does extend them.

Winnipeg will have to put some players on the waiver wire soon. Adding 2 more forwards will just put more on waivers and maybe screw up the chemistry. Winnipeg will not be trading top prospects or top picks unless it is top 6 forward (preferably a center) or a top 4 rhd.

JD would be a nice add, Foligno can pound sand though, Jets need a soldier not a leader and they are #1 at 5v5 so defensively they are doing pretty, pretty good. Neither of these dudes would be as productive on a better, deeper team (such as WIN), opportunities would be far more limited. IMO, Jets will take a big swing or stand pat. Chibrokov would be a nice piece for CHI.

I doubt CHI would have much interest in Chibrikov. We have plenty of prospects in that archetype who project similarly or better. He is fine, though.

Let’s start with…Why exactly does WPG want Foligno?
- we are flush on wing and have zero room or need for any more adds in that position

Then go to…Why exactly does WPG want Dickinson?
- we need a bonified 2C who has offensive production and defensive capabilities

Lastly let’s go with….Why exactly does WPG trade Chibrikov+ for 2 pure rentals?
- as stated earlier by @Rooney, Chibrikov has also been playing well and looks to be a good prospect for WPG.
