Both teams can really benefit from this. Oilers needs the RHD. Habs can use someone like Broberg and expecially Holloway would fit in quite amazing for Habs. Habs also also aquire 2 good draft picks

Also Barron has more value to the Habs weak right side than Broberg has to the Habs very strong left side and in general more value than Broberg, so if you want Barron it will cost another 1st not a LHD we don't need. As for Allen with retention it likely costs another 2nd or 3rd

Why would EDM do this?
I don’t see EDM getting another goalie.
They’re good when they have Skinner and Pickard.

Barron is top 10 in the league for most goal by a defenseman.

Barron has some defensive flaws, which is to be expected when playing top pair minutes in your 2nd season...

BUT JEEZUS PRICE THE GUY HAS AS MANY GOALS AS KARLSSON, BURNS AND MORRISSEY, and more than Hedman, Reilly, Heiskanen, Carlson, etc.

He isnt going anywhere.
