Tampa makes big moves

Created by: Altar7358

Initial Creation Date: Jan. 5, 2024
Published: Jan. 5, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Cirelli has already been the 2C on a cup winner multiple times and is a Selke caliber defensive forward. His offensive production has been down this season but I think his Plus defensive game with a guy like Mikko on his wing could work very well.

Byram + 1st is the starting price. Then it depends who Tampa likes as a prospect cause Colorado has probably the worst farm system in the league so there not much high end talent in it

Byram++ is where the conversation starts I would imagine. Can’t see TBL being too interested in moving him though.

I’d probably throw in Mitch Sakic if Tampa needs a first born son also

I think it would be worth it honestly. Again he’s not some offensive powerhouse but we don’t really need that out of the 2C position with our elite high end talent. I think his offensive game would open up a little here as well

I would say ottawa and edmonton have worse prospect pools. at least they have a few guys like gulyayev, behrens, ritchie, and kovalenko

cirelli's 8 year extension just kicked in and I cant think of the last time a player was traded when that happend. I think its more likely that stamkos or hedman get dealt than one of cirelli, cernak or sergachev

Idk guys. As much as I keep saying Byram is not moving, we may have to consider it of we're really being honest with ourselves.

The defense is a massive strength for this team. We know 2C is our biggest hole and we are having guys fill in that aren’t even top 6 players and that domino effect hurts the entire rest of the lineup. Paying big now for a 2C long term that and our defense still being elite makes sense to me. Overall I think we’d be a better team if they add the right 2C even if byram is involved

At this point I think the hawks might take just about any forward contract that is NHL caliber if they get paid to eat it. CHI is being forced to ice career AHLers on a nightly basis.

Probably starts with Byram, Not sure what else could be added other than a 1st or Gulyayev/Ritchie. Maybe Behrens but Tampa is stacked on the left side so i dont really see a fit unless we go with just picks and prospects

1st 2nd Byram and Ritchie I think would make sense from some suggestions. I think that type of package would be what we’d have to give to get a long term high quality 2C from any team honestly

Possible, but I don't know if COL would do that. Manson is playing well. It would be ideal to move him now when thinking about this year and the future together, but his NTC probably makes that difficult.

Also, I don't think teams are as high on Manson as Byram.
