Don't like any of this. Colorado trade goes against the team direction.

Just wait till next year to trade Kovacevic and get the same return

If they trade Allen they're not bringing another goalie back and certainly not one that's playing like a cap dump

I would pass on bringing in Allen. I have zero interest in his full cap hit for next year. Would rather just keep Sammy and have the cap hit disappear at years end.

Just can’t see the leafs interested in Allen, at all. Habs fans are just trolling us. Jones is playing great and Woll set to return; who knows - maybe Sammy finds himself before playoffs but he’s on an expiring deal

Talking about Kovacevic? I don't think you get less than a 3rd. He's a solid bottom pairing option and would be an easy cap hit for any team

Yes, what I'm saying if teams are willing to pay at most a 3rd for him at the trade deadline, then his value in the offseason will 100% be less than that. The value of him at the trade deadline is worth something which must be in addition to what he's worth at the off season since his cap hit is so good. So either he's worth more than a 3rd a the deadline (since it should be next season's value plus the remainder of this season's value), or he's worth less in the off-season (since the deadline value of a 3rd must be worth the remainder of this seasons value plus next season's value). I hope I'm making sense.

Monahan so trash Sutter wouldn’t even play him in the playoffs. Why would the Avs downgrade Johansen to Monahan and pay to do it?
