You really think Chicago will send a 50% retained Murphy for two more season and a higher 3rd round pick for Brodie, his higher cap hit and diminished play for the benefit of two late rounds picks a couple years down the road… go home you’re drunk.

In theory I don't disagree, but there needs to be some shakeup on blueline. We get cap space and we escape an aging contract with term.

out of all of those contracts faulk is at least worth his, if we want to shake things up then krug and scandella need to be the first out. scandella can probably get us a late pick (4-7) at the deadline but krug will be harder to move. we will have to really sweeten up whatever deal hes in...

True, Scandella should be movable but we really need to part with one more of at least Leddy, Krug, or Faulk if the former two fail. In reality I think that any of these contracts we can part with without sweetening should be done.

i hate leddy as our 1LD but i would love him as a 2/3 LD
