Im not a big Upl guy but long term they’re better off keeping him and seeing if he pans out.

Buffalo shouldn’t do this. Not that the value is off, but they should be having their own healthy competition between Levi and UPL. Right now they seem neck and neck to take hold. Granted Levi is younger. But a third (Late one at that) isn’t appealing to create another hole they aren’t ready to fill.

I think that the Canes could use a younger goalie who could be a long-term partner for PK and UPL is one of the most impressive ones that might actually be dealt

Yeah exactly why Buffalo shouldn’t for a pick likely in the 90s. That player/ goalie is 5/6/7 if ever years away from making any impact.

Why would Buffalo do this? He's an RFA with 2 more years of control.

Make room for a more reliable goalie to sign in free agency... Idk.

Except we aren’t gonna move him PRIOR to bringing in another goalie
If we trade UPL, it’s more likely (imo) that he’s moved as part of a package for another goalie, not dealt for a mid round pick

There’s even a reasonable possibility that we move forward with Levi & UPL as our goalies

There’s never any good goalies that become UFA’s they get overpaid and play horrible unless they go to a team with a great defensive system.

I'd argue that both Comrie and Levie are NHL caliber. Levi has flashes and Comrie has had good season in the past

Comrie was waived and is in the ahl. He's 28 and has 54 career games. He has had 2 seasons with 19 games, one with 7 and no other with more than 3.

How stupid do you think I am?

So which is it then?
Do we “need an upgrade” or is Comrie good enough???
Lololol

We aren’t trading you UPL for a 3rd,
especially not mid-season & definitely not before we bring in the aforementioned “upgrade”

It’s just not gonna happen
The End
