Start with a Slafkovsky or Reinbacher, add from there.

Don't know him a lot... but Fowler would fit in perfectly... Allen 2 years with Dostal.
and then Fowly come in at the same time that your core to compete.

Slaf First OverAll.... Nop impossible... proof... Drysdale Gauhtier 5th & 6th OA pick...
So Reinbacher is the target and Anaheim as plenty young D

laugh You want Trevor Zegras You will need to part with pieces you won't want to surrender. Like one of Slafkovsky or Reinbacher not a bunch of lesser pieces.

Slaf was not the consensus 1st overall in a weak draft, and hasn't done F*** all at the NHL level to justify his selection spot. Zegras has proven he should have gone top 5 of not top 3 his draft already, and it was a deeper draft.

As my esteemed friend @GeneralLandro points out, Lukas Dostal is ready now, so the foolish idea that we would trade the next three seasons of Trevor Zegras for the possibility that Jacob Fowler turns into an NHL goalie that far in the future is a non-starter.

Zegras is a potential All-Star NOW, so even a great prospect like David Reinbacher isn't enough to persuade Anaheim to part with him without an additional quality element.

Slaf isn’t going anywhere. Reinbacher is a fair ask, how much do you value Z ?

All Leafs fans are probably going to rush in and say:

DOSTAL.

He just ate us alive last week. He is 23 years old.

Now Fowler is a great prospect. But the value just isn't there for Anaheim to trade Zegras.

They can ask all day long. They aren’t trading Hutson for Zegras who is so much overrated around here. Because he is a highlight machine. Is overall game is not at a level where you gave up a blue Chip prospect like Hutson. Their 0 team that will gave up that ki g of talent for Zegras. No chance. A top prospect or high draft pick or combination of both is the most realistic scenery. Also Zegras isn’t a Verbeek guy’s so generally they are less attached to the player drafted by the precedent regime.

asking for Slaf, Hutson and Reinbacher for an offensive cone is kinda funny though. yeah we need offense but would also like a guy that plays somewhat good defense. Hutson and Reinbacher will not be sent away for Zegras, if Zegras was so good why is he on the block?

The Ducks used a 2nd in 2023 (pick 60) to draft Damien Clara. If they wanted Fowler they would have drafted him instead ahead of where Montreal took him in the 3rd round (pick 69).

As such, the Ducks are more than stocked in goal so you can keep both Allen and Fowler.

i dont disagree... they took a long time to even want to give Zegras 5mx3 contact.... if he was as good as fans are suggesting he would have been given a 8year deal no arguments given. i was saying the "ask" would be Hutson

For sure they will ask for Hutson but if they really trying to trade him they will have to settle for lesser return. And the longer they wait the lower Zegras value will be in my opinion. Lsst offseason negociation have left a scratch.
