Probably Jack Roslovic or Brendan Gaunce, although Gaunce spends most of his time in the AHL with an occasional callup.

Roslovic would be cool, but he has some cap hit which Oilers would be unable to fit under the cap.

Chicago has been extending pending UFA'S and there are rumors that Mrazek is next. You seem high on the pieces you're offering so why not keep them and Campbell. If you want Chicago to take him off your hands it'll cost at least a 1st and a blue chip prospect.

Mrázek would be crazy not to try get a deal in competitive team after the season he's having. Rotting in Chicago won't help his career

FWIW, you're definitely going to have to spend a 1st to move Campbell, but if Edmonton does, Columbus takes the deal here even with Danforth. Or, more likely:

EDM: Elvis (800k retained) + Roslovic ($2M retained, $1M retained by another team)
CBJ: 2024 2nd, 2025 1st, 2026 3rd -> 2nd for Roslovic w/retention, 1st for Elvis retention ($2.4M over 3.5 years), 3rd for Elvis
3RD: 2024 5th ($1M retention on Ros)

Much smarter to spend $5m for one year of a UFA than 3 more of Campbell. No way do the Oilers move out 3x$5m without including a 1st plus more.

I would be more interested than in your original proposal, but not enough to agree to a deal. 5mil a season for the next 3 years after this 1 for a goalie that looks like he needs to try the ECHL to attempt to find his game is a gamble w/little upside. Oilers are stuck w/him unless they pay another team handsomely to take him. They are in a win now mode so buying him out would probably not be an option (not really my call Oilers fans, if you disagree, I’m not going to argue). Keep in mind that every team knows the situation the Oilers are in which further hurts their bargaining power in this situation.

Just because CHI set up to handle cap dump trades, doesn't mean we are going to do it for next to nothing. At least most other offers include a 1st, what you have proposed is not even remotely close. You could double that and I'd still tell you to add. I might take offense if wasn't so jaded already.

3rd year is the issue on Campbell's contract. It's no coincidence that Dickinson and Foligno got 2 year deals that expire when Bedard and Korchinski are RFA. Absolutely takes at least a 1st to move Campbell

Elvis Merzļikins requested a trade but no team was interested. He's an NHL caliber goaltender who's contract is similar to Campbell's. I think the price to dump Campbell just went up with Elvis Merzļikins on the trade market.
