You could take out the second round pick from Detroit and they still likely say no. No need for expensive declining players when there isn't a positional need.

2nd going the wrong way in the Lee deal

No one would pay two 2nds, let alone one 2nd for JGP

Iles aren't getting seconds back for Lee or Palmieri, no matter which teams are involved. Most likely scenarios are they get picks attached to them to make them disappear or the Iles just keep them.

Sorry man. No way in hell are the Hawks giving up pick # 33-35 for Palmieri and I highly doubt he waives for Chicago.

JGP won’t go for two 2nd. While a RH center man would be a good add, it needs to be someone who can play in the top 6. Don’t think that is JGP

It must suck when the alarm goes off, you wake up and realize your dream of getting a 2nd round pick for Palmeiri was just that… a dream.

Palms is on an expiring contract at a fairly reasonable AAV for a middle-6 guy. A 2nd might be an unreasonable expectation, but I doubt they'd have to pay someone to take him. A useful player with a lack of term beyond next season will be better than many of the options available in UFA.

You very well could be right. The questions are: what contenders think that he could help them & how much cap space do they have to work with.
