Doubt the Hawks are going to trade Murphy during the season. But if they do, they'd probably consider this.

Ehhh, I don't know. My only real issue with this trade is Kane can't seem to stay healthy otherwise this is probably one of the better trade ideas I've seen. Broberg could do with a change.

On the surface this is a very reasonable offer. The issue is that Murphy is part of the core leadership and much more valuable to Chicago in that role than his trade value is to them. I'm with @Hawksguy81. I don't see it happening but if he were on the market this is the type of return they would want.

Kane is hurt too often and disliked in the locker room. Edm doesn't have the resources necessary to get Guentzel.

It's definitely not, Kane doesn't fit the penguins mold, jake is vastly better and that 2025 1st is probably a 2nd rounder basically.

Pens will not trade Jake and if they do they can fetch a much better offer.

I know Jake is going nowhere, but if he were traded, the reality is they will not get another Jake in return. They will have to create a whole new makeup to this team. Either by getting futures and freeing up cash to shop or by more of a hockey trade as in this AGM which still nets the Pens a 1st.

Now, I reiterate my issue with Kane is being injury-prone, but if the Pens do have to move Jake and get a 1st and a top-six winger? They can't pass that up.

I think the Locker room narrative is well overblown. His toxic marriage kinda made him a jerk. Now that he is divorced and has his child. He really hasn't been bad.

Also I believe this would probably be the started proposal talk for Jake from the Oilers? Yes. Do I think it gets beat? Probably. Do I think Ned (Goalie) also gets added to the discussion in this deal? 100% with probably more being added to the deal. I think a healthy Kane could potentially be like a Kunitz on that Sid line.
