First off, Armia wont be retained, they have 1 retention spot left, the opportunity cost alone is worth more than a 4th, the tiniest amount of research would have shown you as well as the cap hit of the retention is more than the buy out at 800k and then 1.2M AAV the next two years. He will be bought out at worse.
Secondly. calling Anderson a cap dump is non sensical irrational hate without any context. Why even bring him up? He's not in this ACGM..The Hawks have as many players as MTL that you could consider a cap dump with recent signings including Jason Dickinson. I wonder why he's not a cap dump in your eyes, maybe because the cost is relative to the team's flexibility but that would mean you need to take off your homer blinders.
Thirdly, every single person knows Gallagher has a bad contract, a truly awful one same as Brent Seabrook back in the day. Neither Seabrook or Gallagher are relative to this ACGM. Deal with it!
Lastly, Dvorak isnt a cap dump as a faceoff specialist with a year of term left at 4.45M, little worth, maybe but by all means continue whining about Mrazek needing a 3rd round pick instead of a 4th as if that will change the fortunes of a toxic mess of an organization.
I wish I could have just stopped you before you wasted your time writing all of that. It has nothing to do with hate, I am completely indifferent to MTL. The fact that you think it is hate is kinda funny actually. It is completely related because of how often MTL fans make these head scratcher proposals involving Armia, Anderson, Dvorak, and Gallagher, that are equally as ridiculous. Like... Where are they getting their information from? All four of those players are absolutely cap dump candidates.
They are massively underperforming, heavily in decline, aging players, on VERY expensive contracts with term. Even if MTL wouldn't have to pay to move them, which I completely disagree with, they definitely aren't getting the kind of returns that so many Habs fans have proposed over the last year or so.
Who is going to take on those contracts without retention and/or some very nice pieces coming back? Only a fool would. Who would give up anything significant for any of them? No one. Who even has the cap space to take such a huge gamble? No one besides bottom feeder teams, like CHI, that are going to leverage the heck out of MTL in negotiations, if they are desperate enough to create the cap space. Just like MTL did to CGY in the Monahan dump.
