Oilers accept. That’s essentially the only deal that makes sense over a buy out.

Trading assets to the 2 biggest threats to the devils reaching the ECF isn’t going to help you get that 1st at all

Also how would Carolina win the cup and the devils make the ECF? Unless you’re assuming NJD makes a wild card and goes through the other side of the bracket?

Like the Oilers a d Rangers deals!
Thinking this is not NJD year to make the ECF
The Weber trade to get to the cap floor isn’t a bad one!
Montreal has prospect depth, they need more star power and likely don’t trade down, if anything they try and trade up to get Celebrini if possible.

Exactly why it’s a dream but Bobrov wants Nygård THAT bad.

Sharks gotta make a move with Campbell to have strengthen their draft class.

NJD are only making it through the WC imo - they haven’t left enough run way for much more, with a tight division

I think Barabanov would resign in NY or SJS in the offseason as well. Idk what happens with Duke rn.

IRL Habs select Demidov or Lindstrom and call it a day if they don’t get Macklin.

However Griers crazy enough to trade down - Bystedt, Havelids, Lund is gonna take years to see if it was worth it for Geekie (I love the swing we’ll see if it works out I have faith it will).

You have to select Macklin tho if you can

Do you trust the flyers to hold their spot? NJD 5 points behind yes, but 3 games in hand

Grier had no 2nd and a weak prospect pool, trading down was very smart though I still say we should have drafted Brad Lambert with the 27th then Bystedt with the Arizona 2nd (most think he would have still been there)
But now with a stronger prospect pool I would expect Grier to stand pat and draft BPA that also fits a need! And 2-6 should have a few good RD.
        But yes Celebrini if possible

I agree. It makes perfect sense to convert unused cap space into picks/prospects. One day that 1st and 2nd could be a life long Sharks. No one will remember the Campbell cap hit, no one might even remember in the next 2 years.
