Why is Colorado sending Ottawa a 1st here? That 1st is going in the wrong direction.

Avs decline the Ottawa trade. They just extended Toews last summer, and that's poor value for a player of his caliber

Corado is trading a 1st and the best player for a 3F with 2F upside and 2 undrafted free agents who can't even make Ottawa's roster.

Colorado is getting shafted here pretty badly.
