Ill try to be kind. Vancouver would likely have ZERO interest in Kovacevic as he plays the wrong side and we have depth at RHD in the 7 spot that we like. So if your trying to put together something that might fly, this wont be a good part of it. As far as Monahan, there will be lots of interest, but Canucks (and especially Allvin) will not over pay and certainly not two good young players that we like for a rental. Canucks would prefer to wait to the summer and pick up a player (even Monahan) for nothing. Canucks would likely pay with a 3rd and a prospect like Karlsson or Jurmo, realizing this probably wont get it done. More likely, Allvin is looking at something none of us have thought of. Which is to say, if its in the media Allvin is probably not in on it.

Canucks decline. They aren’t interested in Monahan and Kovacevic would be like our 7th or 8th d-man at best. Not giving up two prospects for two guys we don’t need.
