I appreciate what you’ve done here with your willingness to take Schmidt and retain, plus have another team retain, on Karlsson. But…
First)- WPG shouldn’t do anything until they address their 2C issue first… then, if we have cap room and assets, maybe we can look at the RD, but that’ll most likely be depth not high end
Second)- WPG shouldn’t move current roster players, or as few as possible, with the playoffs coming up…Schmidt for Karlsson is fine, D out for D in, but Appleton opens a hole on our RW
Third)- Barlow would only be moved in a slam dunk trade for a player that we absolutely can’t say no to… that’s not Karlsson

Karlsson is a good player, but the Jets need a top 4 RHD that’s as good, or better, defensively as he is offensively…and Karlsson is all offensive
