I think its fair to say Suzuki has lost the shine of being a former 1st round pick as is no longer valued as such. The Habs would much rather have the 28OV pick this year than a player drafted 28th overall almost 4 years ago and hasn't done much in that time span.

I don't see Ryan Suzuki holding anywhere close to the value of a 1st anymore. It's been 4 years since his selection, he's had injury issues, and hasn't been able to establish himself even in the AHL.

So I believe Habs pass with regards to trading Monahan for him. Unless he's a "throw in" or reclamation project.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. That's the beauty of it! I certainly wouldn't do a 3rd and Suzuki if late 1st was on the table elsewhere. Not to say that the Habs wouldn't want Suzuki, just not in this trade more than likely.

Change the 7th round pick for a 1st and maybe MTL considers Suzuki doesnt have much value
