Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Lyubushkin, Ilya
Additional Details:
I personally really liked Boosh when he was a leaf so if we got him back I'd be all smiles :)
ANA
2.
TOR
  1. Tanev, Christopher
Additional Details:
Now I know when it comes to tanev his price is all over the place but I like the fit with him here
CGY
3.
TOR
  1. Middleton, Jake
Additional Details:
More of a wildcard kinda look cause I haven't seen much chatter of Middleton to the leafs but I think he'd do nicely here
MIN
4.
TOR
  1. van Riemsdyk, Trevor
Additional Details:
Also another kinda dark horse trade I wouldn't mind TVR could be a nice slot in D-man
WSH
5.
TOR
  1. Laughton, Scott
  2. Ristolainen, Rasmus
  3. Seeler, Nick
Additional Details:
Now this is more of a big trade me personally I would love Laughton then 1 of not both just 1 of the 2 d-man obviously with risto he'd probably need a little retention but with seeler being as cheap as he is probably wouldn't be cheap also

Sounds like the cost for Tanev is a 2nd and prospect based on what I have seen the last few days

For PHI: Briere turned down a 1st for Laughton last season, which probably wasn't too smart since he's pushing 30 and won't be getting any better than he currently is. His value is probably a 2nd with conditions to make it a 1st based on team performance. Seeler has been playing excellent and is on a super friendly (although expiring) contract; I'd put his value probably right around the same as Laughton, given how low the cap hit is. Risto is Risto; big contract, but has been playing improved. If PHI were to retain, value is probably around a 2nd or 3rd.

TOR would be giving up their 2024 1st, a 3rd, and a good prospect for all three IMO.

Can't tell you a price for Middleton, but it would have to be an overpay they couldn't refuse. Spurgeon is out for the year and Faber needs relief so he doesn't break down (rookie, longest season with the best competition he's ever played against - if he doesn't show signs of slowing this year he will next fall). The Wild won't tank like the Black Hawks. So I am thinking the overpay would be a top a top 4 defenseman (low end top 4) and prospect/draft pick to make the trade a win for the Wild.

If they could re-sign him for the 3rd pairing that would be a good move imo.

Flyers got offered a first for Laughton last off season and turned it down. Being the center market is slim at the deadline I gotta imagine they are looking for a first again.

Torts is a big fan of Seeler and there have been reports they are looking to resign him, Walker is the Dman most likely to be traded but if you truly want Seeler you are probably paying a premium to get him, likely a first round pick.

Risto has been okay under Torts, far better than he was when they traded for him. Ideally Flyers probably looking to get a late second or early third rounder for him with no retention, if they retain they probably are looking for a late first or good prospect.

Even if it was just the third we’d be happy

Probably a 3rd for TVR, maybe another late pick on top depending on the interest from other teams.

Since when did Seeler go from a 5th to a 1st in value?

He's not. They are in love with him and Walker is the guy they are wanting to trade and many philly beats are says Flyers are looking for a late first for Walker. The point stands that if a team wants Seeler they are going to pay a premium.
