those are completely unsubstantiated.

Guentzel and Karmanos/Ventura go way back, but Guentzel is just going to use this so he can squeeze more $ out of a contender.

Sabres would have ZERO INTEREST in Guentzel
This trade just doesn’t make ANY SENSE for us…. AT ALL

2 things, Sabres definitely aren't trading Mittelstadt and Clague isn't a prospect. With the supposed "asking price" for Guentzel, Buffalo would need to move Olofsson, Savoie, and a 2024 1st for Guentzel.

He definitely isn't going to Buffalo but this is a hypothetical ask for Guentzel. If Pittsburgh can't get the ask needed then they'll just re-sign him.

It's a roster player+Blue chip prospect and a 1st, Sorry but Clague isn't a blue chip prospect.

Jake has a no trade clause and judging by the open discussions by all parties he isn't getting traded unless it is to a contender that best fits him.

This makes 0 sense for Buffalo. They don't need wingers long term, making Guentzel a rental, a rental for a team that is not in the playoff race. So they give up a bunch of assets including a 60-70 point RFA for a rental to miss the playoffs?
