That Jenner offer is going to need at least one more pick probably 2 with retainment for this season and 2 more. Sounds like a mill retainment this TDL is going for a 4th. So on those ground Columbus says no

Nowhere near enough for Boone, let alone with retention.

Considering those 1sts are all likely to be late, unless you want to throw three of them our way, and possibly add to that, really not sure EDM has the assets to make the move.

Also, Tyler Who-lio?

Colorado hears that offer and says “Ritchie and our first” and Kenny never gets a call back.

And then Tanev gets injured, as he always does, and you're left with Bouchard, Desharnais and Kemp (?) playing RD in the playoffs. Smart.

In any case, that pairing needs more puck skills, not less. A RH Ekholm, basically. So Tanev isn't a great fit.

Interesting that you put Jenner above McLeod on the depth chart, despite McLeod clearly being the better player.

Another baseless take by the resident Oilers homer. 🙄

Baseless? I think you need to look up that word. tears of joy

I literally provided basis for my comments, unlike you who just resorted to name calling.

Tanev has missed one extended stretch of time since he's been in Calgary, and it's come out multiple times that if the Flames were in the race last year he would have played. The Tanev injury argument is so lazy.

Then to say McLeod is clearly the better player while providing the most narrow argument on the planet is just disingenuous at best. McLeod's extended stats are marginally better, he also doesn't play against the other teams best line every night, he's also on a team that has a +34 goal differential as opposed to -36, all of Jenner's expected goal stats are better than McLeod while having a lower PDO, McLEod has a negative relative expected goals on the Oilers, Jenner is positive on the bottom of the barrel Blue Jackets, Jenner is also creating more expected high danger chances than McLeod. All that to say that McLeod is a good enough middle sixer having a lucky year while on a really good team. Jenner is a significantly better player on a team that can't produce. I guarantee that you are the only person whether that be on this website, in the NHL possibly on the planet other than McLeod's mom who thinks he's better than Jenner.

If we're going for a new top-4 RHD and a bottom 6 forward I'd hope we go for Carrier (who is unfortunately injured now) and Novak on NSH.
If we're gunna go for a massive RHD upgrade I'd hope we just overpay for a legit top line RHD with term.

Agree that moving on from Ceci is the next logical step for us but Tanev isn't the one I'd hope to fit that bill.
From what Columbus fans have said on this site Jenner will be insanely expensive and ultimately that might not be worth it for us.
