As much as I would love for it to happen as a Kings fan, it won't. Blake's job is dependent on the success of PLD. As soon as he's considered a unredeemable failure (i.e. bought out, traded, waived, etc.), Blake will be fired, if he hasn't been already.

So unless Blake is fired at the end of the season and a new GM is brought in and decides to pull the trigger on something like this before PLD's NMC kicks in on July 1, the Kings are stuck with Dubois for the next 4-5 years.

There's a debate to be had about which player is better, but I'm taking Josh Norris at 7.9 over PLD at 8.5 every day if the week. Ottawa is also moving a 100 overall vibes player for a 0 overall vibes player. Everywhere Dubois goes people get sick of him.

Norris shows some effort.

PLD shows none while having a Full NMC until 2028 and the higher cap hit.
