We're throwing away our top defensive prospect arguably ever (sorry Werenski, Murray, and Klesla) for the rare opportunity to...flip Jacob Chychrun? Excuse me? Do I have that right?

That's an emphatic, and offended "no, f*** you, do it yourself".

This site has seriously made me lose respect for the IQ of the average hockey fan.

So COL needs a center and a back up goalie so of course they are going to trade for 2 wingers🤦🏻‍♂️

But at least you have all calmed down in Columbus on Jenner being the equivalent of McJesus......right?

I certainly have, dunno about others. My main objection was always that he was too valuable to the team to be traded for anything other than a return that almost guaranteed to replace him in the future. This year proved that there's nothing going with the Jackets to be valuable towards for a player his age though. Kinda like how the MVP should never be from a non-playoff team because how can a player be valuable when their team accomplishes nothing. I just want to see him traded for a decent return that's going to contribute to what the team is hopefully building now with their 23 and under players. It feels like there are enough teams that would be interested in acquiring him that the return should be something like a 1st and a good but not amazing prospect.

I'd agree with you there (I'd say he probably could still return a bit more) and I've always agreed that he probably had more value to Columbus than he had as trade value (though not at the level some were saying). We all get a bit wound up about such things and it was a bit of a dig on my part but in fun, but fair dues for owning that one.
