I pitched the same Trade for Hanifin except I had an extension in place and Boqvist going back to Calgary too

Boston passes on both.

Can’t see them trading 1st + Lohrei for Noah. Adding even more pieces is out of the question.

Isn’t BOS Hanifin’s preferred team long term? Why not just stand pat and lose nothing getting him as a FA this offseason?

that's an unconfirmed rumor, personally would rather just get him in the org ASAP

extension goes without saying, bruins aren't giving up premium assets without it this season

BOS should not be selling off this much of their futures.

They went all in last year, they aren't in a position to do the same this year.

Not at all. He likely just wants to play in the US, Boston has never been stated as his preferred destination

1st + Lohrei is enough, gryzelcyk is just a dump to free up cap Calgary would actually prefer not taking him. Not sure why Harrison is in there but it really doesn't make much difference whether he's included or not.

that's the wrong question, because the answer is very simple - they have the best record in the NHL this season, make a run.

the actual question is why would they drastically overpay?

that's not really an overpay? Hanifin is the best defenseman on the market, he's getting a first and a good prospect as a baseline, same as Lindholm did as the best forward available.

I threw Harrison in there to make up for our pick being in 2025

deadline rentals don't get first round picks and prospects that high end. you can go through and try to find one. you're not going to.
