I like the zegras offer. I think it’s reasonable.

Gallagher healthy scratch at 6.5m…. Man that was a terrible contract. Marinaro nailed that.

You can dream all you want, you're not getting Zegras without coughing up one of Reinbacher, Slafkovsky, or the Lindstrom pick.

I don't see Anaheim pulling the trigger on that. The value is fine since very few players are worth 2 1st and a young solid RD prospect. BUT they would really need a top 10 pick coming back their way.

I can see Zegras to Montreal happening, but I only see it if Montreal gives their own 1st rounder this year.

Anaheim passes, First round picks are late, Sorry Dovorak has very little value and Barron is a joke. Most teams would easily beat this offer.

A late first and a top-10-protected future first don't get Trevor Zegras, especially with a boat anchor thrown in.

That's a hot take given Zegras put up 61 points in his first full season and Slafkovsky has managed a meager 32 points in 89 career games, Reinvacher hasn't played a game on North American Ice, and Lindstrom hasn't played a game in the pros yet.

But hey, guess I can read a stat line.

Homerism is a fascinating malady, isn't it? An absolutely blind indifference to reason. Imagine being convinced that not one but two teenagers who have never played a second in the NHL are worth more than Trevor Zegras or Cole Caufield.
