I love how the dumbest, most baseless things get said in every Laine trade thread.

IDK about him being a cancer, but the guy has missed significant time with injuries each of the last four seasons. That would be more concerning to me than nebulous "chemistry" issues. I do think that a healthy Laine would score a **** ton of goals playing on a line with Barzal and Horvat, although the proposed trade package seems like an overpay given the injury history. Maybe take out one of Bolduc or Iskhakov and/or downgrade the 2nd by a round or two.

That's actually the one very true and fair criticism of him. He has been struggling heavily with injuries the last 3 seasons and should probably give most teams reason to not want to acquire him. He's gonna have to show he can stay healthy for at least a year before he's worth his contract again.
