Description
Put the C on Morgan, and trade the rest of the core. I'd rather cheer for a rebuilding team with Captain Morgan steering a tight ship than cheer for these gutless frauds who take the biggest swings in contract talks. I don't care how many goals Matthews scores against bottom feeders in January. They are power play merchants who can't score on the PP in the playoffs. They choke in the big moments. Can't win with them.

At first glance I balked at the Pens trade, but truthfully that's an enticing offer. It's definitely a steep price, but considering the window this would be something to considering. It allows Geno to move to the wing next to Tavares which could be lethal.

Matthews is a power play merchant who has 27 more 5 on 5 goals than mcdavid who is the next closest guy and has played 40 less games, trolls gonna troll i guess. need to add 5 firsts unprotected to that az trade

Check the playoffs stats

McDavid: 29 goals in 49 Gp.

Matthews: 22 goals in 50 Gp.

You could probably change one or possibly even both of the AZ picks to 1st round picks and that package still would get serious consideration.
