Ya not interested in moving Mittelstadt but let's just say his value to make it worth moving him would have to be for a top 4 RHD in the 22-30 age range with term. Otherwise it doesn't make sense

That would be Brock Faber. Minnesota fans don’t seem to like this idea. They would rather try to pawn two pending UFAs, a second round pick, and another prospect the Sabres don’t really need in return for a young productive center with team control. Yeah, I’d like it if my team could make a trade like that too.

Sabres aren’t trading Mitts
And a bunch of pieces we’d have ABSOLUTELY zero interest in isn’t gonna change our minds

You guys would have to do WAY better
Like, Brock Faber value better
And yes, i do realize that’s a lot- but like i said, we aren’t looking to trade Mitts. That rumor was made up BS that’s been shot down already by legitimate sources

Oh, phew, I was worried there for a second.

I'm extremely high on Haight. Who's a underrated prospect with solid middle-six potential, but more importantly, silky silky hands for days. There's untapped high-end potential there.

I wouldn't be opposed to throwing one of the defensive prospects in there in his stead though. Of which, only Faber and Lambos would be off the table.

Meaning one of Spacek or Masters. Mojo can be swapped out for something better. Maybe Beckman? He's close to NHL ready.

Which is better, Casey Mittelstadt or Prime Age Marion Gaborik?

Because that's the type of player Yurov is looking to be. Sorry, Mitt's is NOT worth a solid B-level defensive prospect and a top-50 prospect in the league. Not even close. He's good, but he's not THAT good.

Minnesota doesn’t consider either Faber or Yurov for Mittelstadt straight up, let alone ADD.

Yurov would cost either Benson or Ostlund+.

Let's see, a 22 year old rookie top pairing defender with #1RD potential. Who is already both elite defensively and showing solid Norris potential.

OR

A 25 year old center making Bank points off a 3rd line role. (An exaggeration, but making a point)

You're out of your damn minds if you think Mitts is worth anywhere close to that kind of player. Guess that means we can get Dahlin for Eriksson-Ek too, right?

Right. He's a mediocre player. No Mitts for you and I say good day!

I mean this with all due respect. He would be roughly our 6/7 best forward prospect at this point. You guys traded Fiala who I’d call slightly better than Mitts at this point for Faber and a mid first. I wouldn’t classify Haight in the Faber class at the time of trade and a mid second isn’t a mid first. The other stuff in the trade is irrelevant. Like I said with Fiala being slightly better a lesser return is to be expected perhaps, but not a lesser in both pieces. And I think Buffalo would like a Faber level RHD prospect in return with a second as preference, or possibly a lesser RHD prospect with that first. Either way, you can act like this was an overpay all you want, but every year there’s overagers who rip up in the CHL. Take of this what you will, I just know Buffalo shouldn’t accept this. I don’t know much about the other prospects you mentioned

Asking for a 22 y/o Norris candidate for a center that is probably more a 2C, we know that's not happening. The wild have drafted other D men with potential, Lambos for example i can totally see them trading him instead of Height.

If Ryan, O’Rourke was a right handed defender, that would be the kind of guy Buffalo would want (maybe a year ago for him specifically) as part of a return for a player Mittelstadt. Buffalo has plenty of puck movers, what they need is a physical stay at home type. Defensively responsible, able to cover up for his aggressive partner. If he happens to be able to block shots and still carry the puck up the ice once in a while that’s a bonus. I don’t know if Carson Lambos fills that particular need.
