Description

Each trade is not the package I think is fair value but rather a piece or piece's combined with a first-round pick to make the actual trade. For example, Stankoven + 1st or Bourque + Dellandrea +1st for Guentz + Poulin/POJ. I don't think either of the Flordia teams has enough to make it. Also, I can't really see the Avs trading Byram for anything but a 2C, and I don't see the Pens making an inter-division trade. Personally, I think the potential Stars and Jets packages make the most sense.

Podkolzin is the only one from Vancouver who might be made available. The other 3 wouldn’t be dealt.

I can’t see half of these teams looking for a LW even if it’s him. The buzz is around Edmonton, Vegas, Dallas, STL, and Florida. I can see the NYR exploring a move for him and MAYBE Boston or Tampa.

How long is Sergachev on LTIR for? Plus Pens retain 3 mil and another team retains half allowing Tampa to get him at 1.5

You can shelve this one for now. With Guentzel being out for up to a month, no one will be volunteering to move any of those players for him.

Most likely to the end of this season unless we make a super deep playoff run, and even then he might not play. Though for a team with little futures giving up Howard for a guy who's basically a rental and unaffordable in the off-season with guys like Stamkos needing an extension and other players due, it might be a bit steep. Reilly Smith could be an option, but his cap hit at that term kind of messes with things.

Literally not one offer has been sent to the Pens that’s been acceptable for Guentzal. And that was before injury.

And now Pens fans want to pretend that an injury won’t affect his value.
