He's having a good year on a bad team, good defensively, he's the ideal RD for Buffalo if his d numbers are good, with Dahlin he will put up more points, only problem is his contract is super expensive

$9.5mil Cap hit = we don’t even consider him
That’s just too big of a Cap hit
It’s also equally unlikely that we ship out Mitts OR Skinner,
let alone BOTH

You’re really throwing some pretty wild $h!t out there lately
Some interesting ideas, but very unlikely imo

Sure, i get your thinking
Seems far fetched that the Sabres would be thinking that way though

May seem minor in comparison to the other trade, but I think you've overvalued both Okposo and Krebs here. Okposo is a pretty mid 3rd liner that doesn't bring characteristics EDM would be really looking for so I don't imagine they'd be willing to give up a 2nd for him. As for Krebs, I think NSH would value a stable 5D over another Cody Glass (but smaller).

I'd much rather sign Montour at 7.5million

Florida has Reinhardt, forsling him and few others to pay
Buffalo has cap space and it's an hour or so from hometown and family so I think it's likely if Florida can't afford all these ufas
Plus he's getting 4 pretty decent left d partners and be part of resurgence
I have fingers crossed. He could change back end like few can

Interesting idea but Hawks likely decline and Jones and Skinner probably don't waive their NMC anyway. While getting Mitts might interest the Hawks, losing Seth to get him doesn't work at all. Hawks have zero options to backfill the hole Seth would leave on RD. This makes the Hawks an even worse team next season - which doesn't seem possible!

CHI declines, as already outlined by @Hawksguy81, among other reasons.

Both Jones and Skinner are overpaid but given the fact Jones plays a more important role at a harder to fill position (RHD), I think the Hawks would decline. As @Hawksguy81 stated there are no viable options in the organization to fill Jones role and eat his 25-28 minutes a game.

Additionally, adding Jones to Buffalo’s backend that has already allocated a significant portion of the salary cap for Dahlin, Power and Samuelson may not be the best road for the Sabres to take either, that would give them 3 d-men making more then $8m per season starting next year.
