Good signing.

Look, I've really liked the guy this season, and he's a great depth piece for this team RIGHT NOW. Emphasis on right now because this team desperately needs a change in direction, and this signing, along with Cole Smith, goes against that idea

Preds need to embrace either a retool or full on rebuild, consistent middling is not a good place to exist because you cannot get better, only worse as time passes

Depth player signing near the League minimum. Nothing to complain or write home about. I voted Yes.

As I wrote about in a (since-deleted) thread, the optics of this are terrible. Signing a fringe-NHLer (of which we have many) the day after a 9-2 loss in which said fringe-NHLer was awful.

The actual contract is 2 years too long for Nashville. There’s no reason to sign him other than “warm body”, but we have better warm bodies in the press box.

Completely agree, but at the same time this is a fully buriable contract. Not really a huge deal

Solid signing IMO, gonna need some tough guys to help protect our younger players coming up from the minors.

And I’m sure somebody would give up like a mid pick for him, so it’s not bad at all to have him extended for less than a mil.

With Lizotte being out with an injury right now, and LA lacking size and toughness on the 4th line, I was hoping the Kings would acquire him at the deadline. Too bad.

Solid signing for Nashville.
